English-taught medical schools in Europe that are still accepting applications. If results don't go your way this month, you have not missed the year.

- Wrocław first if you're Irish or British — no exam, no interview, decided on your grades in chemistry, biology and one of physics or maths. Results day and CAO Round 1 both fall inside its remaining rounds.
- Your passport changes the Bulgarian answer. Ireland is in the EU, the UK is not. On a UK passport Sofia's exam is 9 September, and Varna has closed for this year.
- Earlier and later exam sittings exist. Plovdiv also sat 18 August; Pleven also runs 8 October, 28 October and 17 November; Łódź and Lublin arrange dates with you individually.
- Bulgaria's paperwork is the real deadline. Diplomas must be legalised, translated by a sworn translator and verified by the Bulgarian agency NACID before an application counts. That takes weeks — start it first.
- Pleven starts in February, not this autumn. Latest deadline here, latest start. It's also where I study.
- Poznań and Gdańsk have closed for 2026, on 31 July and 15 June.
- Check any date with the university before you pay a fee or turn down an offer at home. Deadlines move and rounds fill early. Read at source on 7 August 2026; re-check after 1 September. I take no commission from any university listed.
If you're not sure which fits
Apply directly if you can see the answer — you don't need anyone's help, and the admissions offices answer questions for free. If you can't tell whether your grades qualify, or the paperwork looks impossible from where you're standing, that's worth fifteen minutes.
